K.W.F.F.L. MISSION STATEMENT.

The K.W.F.F.L. was formed in 1992.

The initial disciples were a bunch of austere hedonists ; all with an eye for Social Esteem and seeking anchorage in both systematic and scholarly detail.

To add to his flock, Mr. Webster delved amongst the swarms of minstrels crowding the polluted streets of Kettering. There were some who counselled against granting such high favour to those from such lowly an estate - and to these our Chairman replied with a pallid smile "He who cometh from wretchedness shall lead unto wretchedness."

Purity of vision, however, did become disturbed. Our leader commenced his reflections upon Mosiac withdrawal and, in particular, the idolatrous episode of the Golden Calf which had served to establish within the hearts of the Children Of Israel an enduring distinction between Faith and Mammonism.

Bereft of conscience's illumination, many sought to replace the rule of light with the sparkle of baubles.

Whilst some submitted themselves to tinsel's thrall, our Leader redefined the 7 Spiritual aims of The K.W.F.F.L. ;

1. To instruct in the pursuit of goodness, truth, and beauty.
2. To admonish sinners (just once).
3. To counsel the doubtful.
4. To bear wrongs patiently (but not at length).
5. To forgive offences (by repayment in kind).
6. to comfort the afflicted.
7. To prey for the living (and the dead).

And so it came to be … that as the reign of glitter reached it's crepuscular zenith, we have reached our main Goal ;

An unbelievable final day that looked like going A.O.T's way until Portsmouth scored a CRUCIAL late Goal v Liverpool which denied Carragher his Clean Sheet and left A.O.T's hopes in ruins !!!!!!!! WHAT AN INCREDIBLE SEASON IT'S BEEN.

INCREDIBLY (1) Ljungberg (AOT) gained an Assist but as he came on as Sub after Okocha had come on he didn't count as 'In' for A.O.T. Had he come on first this would have given them the Title !!

ALSO Reo Cokers 'Assist' appeared to be not him but Harewood. If fantasyleague.com are going to change it, it's usually on Monday morning they do this. They've stuck with Reo-Coker, so we go with this.

The celebrations will be already kicking off I'm sure ............ Key Moments ; A GREAT decision to buy Gardener brought 4 Pts. + the INCOMPARABLE Thierry Henry scoring a Goal + getting 2 Assists ! I'm sure Sam, Ted & Sue won't begrudge Deano and Bill their moment of glory. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Corby had the better of the first half, but were unable to take advantage of this and it was 0-0 at half-time. Andy Webster was making his Refereeing debut and - despite a few tough challenges - kept his cards in his pocket throughout !! The Cougars struck early after the break, and were soon 2 up. Kettering tried their best, but when Goalie George handled outside of the box and Emma rifled home an excellent free-kick it was all over ! On the overall performance the result was probably about right.
